TOO MANY BUNNIES
Welcome to TooManyBunnies.com.  We are a "NO KILL" organization run
completely by volunteers.  We are 100% dependent on donations from our wonderful
supporters.  We are dedicated to finding new homes for domestic rabbits that have
been abused, abandoned or neglected.  We work with numerous shelters, as well as
individual owners.  A large number of rabbits come to us after being turned loose
outside to fend for themselves.

These rabbits  receive all necessary veterinary care, socialization, litter box  training
and are sterilized before being placed for adoption.

If you are seeking a pet bunny to add to your family, please consider finding your new
addition at a rescue group or shelter.  There are thousands of rabbits who are in
desperate need of a loving home.  Animal shelters across the country euthanize
healthy, friendly rabbits on a daily basis simply because no one wants them.
SPOTLIGHT BUNNY OF
THE MONTH
Vendors were selling this baby bunny and his siblings on a street corner telling potential
buyers that he is a three month old dwarf.  The bunnies are only a few days old and cannot
survive without their mothers milk until they are at least 28 days old.

The bunnies are born with a parasite and up to 5 opportunistic infections. Most people
purchasing them end up with a deceased bunny within hours.

With round the clock care the baby bunnies have at best a 30% chance of survival.

These baby bunnies were seized by the Los Angeles Police Department and given to our
organization in the hopes of saving their lives.

This baby bunny is less than three inches long.

Education, Rescue, and Respect
Often a little education about proper diet, coaching on how to talk to and live with your bunny, and some insight to the bunny language is all
that is needed for you and your bunny to live a long and happy life together.

When  you adopt from our rescue group we will always be here to answer any bunny questions you may have. We also have a inexhaustible
supply of fresh Timothy hay available for a donation of $5.00 per huge bag. We're happy to trim your bunny's nails when you pick up your hay.

Easter and Bunnies
       Do Not Mix!
Sadly, 90% of all bunnies given
as Easter gifts are euthanized
within the year once the
children have grown tired of
them. Many of the others are
abandoned or surrendered to
rescues. The truth is, rabbits
are not good pets for small
children.

Shortly after Easter shelters
and rescues are over run with
unwanted rabbits and their
offspring.

Adopting a bunny requires at
least a 10 year commitment.
Bringing one home should not
be taken lightly or without a
well thought out plan.
Never give a
bunny as a gift
Did You know:

Bunnies are the third most euthanized animal in shelters.

Bunnies are the number one most dumped animal.

For every bunny that is bought from a breeder or pet store, another
frightened bunny is put to death in a shelter.

If you adopt a bunny from a rescue group, another bunny will be able to be
rescued, resulting in two saved lives.

Reputable rescue groups spay and neuter their bunnies saving you the
expense, worry, and pre-surgical behavior problems of an unaltered
bunny.

Rescuers know their bunnies and can give you a clear idea of their habits
and personalities. This will insure you take home the perfect bunny for
you and your family.
Come join the fun!!  We will have plenty of bunnies looking for loving homes as
well as:

  • Rabbit advice from experts
  • Vet referrals
  • Stories and ideas for the kids
  • Rabbit craft projects
  • Toys for your bunny to play with
  • Tips on rabbit safe gardening and composting

Become a foster family
Easter dump season is upon us
and we desperately need
additional foster homes.  Since we
are not a shelter, we rely on foster
families to give a home to these
bunnies until they are adopted.

Every new foster family means
another rabbit can be rescued. We
do everything we can to make your
fostering experience a good one
for you and the rabbit.  You don't
need to be a Rabbit expert to
foster, just open to learning about
these wonderful pets.  If you would
like to be a foster family to a
bunny, please

Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and adopt out rabbits to loving homes, as well as educate current and potential rabbit owners. We do
not turn away any rabbit regardless of disability, illness, age, or temperament. Rescued rabbits are nursed back to optimum health and
spayed/neutered before being placed up for adoption. The organization’s main goal is to see that the right rabbit is placed with the right
family, so we screen all adoptive families to ensure the rabbit is placed in a secure and loving home.

All rabbits live in foster homes with dedicated volunteers, seeing that they are litter box trained, well fed, and well cared for, with expenses
more often than not coming from their own pockets.  We rely upon donations for 100% of the expenses to rehabilitate our bunnies.  Your
monetary gifts are appreciated more than you will ever know and 100% of your donation goes to helping bunnies.
